I'm having the same problem. I contacted Typepad and got a bit of help but am still stuck.

Is there a way to build a widget to make it more simple to install on typepad? Or revamp the directions? Thanks!

With the latest changes Typepad has made to their system no. =/ I
would contact their support, they can integrate it for you.
