The Disqus Blog: Many Issues with Wordpress Blog

Does anyone from Disqus look at these forums regularly??? Is there a better way / any way to get support?

This query is here over 24 hrs with no response, and my first submitted issue is 9 days unanswered now ...

    Patrick,
I will have someone look over this today as I have been a bit back logged
    with support today.

OK, and it's been another 24 hours and still no response. Have asked this before, but is there some better way to get support for Disqus? Really I want to say is there *any* way to get support for Disqus?

And another question - how does a reader ask to be emailed when someone replies to a thread they've commented on?

Registered users can check the setting at http://disqus.com/account/notifications/. Regarding your other questions, can you first make sure that your Disqus plugin is upgraded to the latest version? I think that might fix at least the first problem.

Disqus plugin does not show any later version, version number is: 2.11.4349.

On that Notiifcations tab, the checkbox reads as if they will only get emails if someone hits the 'Reply' link below a comment of theirs. This is not the same as getting an email every time a new comment is added to a post. Does it do that? (send an email every time a new comment is added to the post)

For the Facebook Connect problem, we're releasing a fix in the next day or two. Until then, you could allow comments from "Anyone" on this page as a workaround: http://disqus.com/admin/permissions/

For the trackbacks issue, this is also a bug. You need to access the native WP admin page. From the Disqus admin page that you get sent to (within Wordpress) remove "page=disqus" from the URL.

I'll look into the comment-count issue.

And finally, no, you can only get notified of comments that are replies to yours.

Seems like you've hit a lot of problems at once. Sorry about that.

Andrew. Thanks for the answers! It had been quite a while not getting any real response.

Can you please post here when the FB Connect fix is available?

Would appreciate hearing an answer / potential solution to the Comments Count issue.

Can I request that the ability to subscribe by email be added to a future release?

Ok, the FB Connect fix should be live now. I believe Jason has emailed you about the Comments Count issue. And, your feature request has been noted.
