Is it me, or doesn't the search bar seem quiiite compliant with Opera (10.0)?

Is it me, or does the search bar not seem quiiite compliant with Opera (10.0)?

Their whole site seems a bit dodgy under Opera 9.6.

So....uh... how does this work? Do we need to link something in Lijit? Or does it "just work"?

Although, to support Giannii's comment, you can most definitely add your Disqus information into your Lijit content. It's just not necessary to see the comment integration.

    Thanks for the post Giannii!

Believe it or not Jake, the comment integration just works. We're using the Disqus API and therefore, you don't even need to add your Disqus information into your Lijit profile to see comments in your search results.

Is it tough for you guys to be so awesome?
  • tarable · 11 months ago
Don't make me answer that, McKee.

DOn't see this search engine getting much traction. Google already allows you to search just one website. I don't see the exact value prop on this one.

@Medical The value prop with Lijit is that when you sign up for it, you can enter in your various social networks, any RSS feed AND OPML files (collections of RSS feeds usually exported from a reader) that then becomes a personal federated search, hosted on your own blog. A user can essentially search your whole social network AND web presence from one interface, on your blog. I'm definitely a fan and use it on my blog.

More info about federated search can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federated_search

Morgan, thanks for your help in explaining our value. I love it when Lijit users beat me to the punch...and do a much better job.
  • Morgan Sully · 11 months ago
    awesome! Thanks for listening Tara!

I've also been a fan of PostRank (for making sense of your RSS feeds) and wanted to integrate the two on my blog. I made a post about it in the Get Satisfaction Account for PostRank:

Now testing... Thanks again - already had positive touchpoints with Lijit so far...:)
