I was just saying that it might be easier to have it in the dashboard like the old disqus theme if it isn't there already. But, yeah thanks for letting me know.

The post box at the bottom would just be an option like the old disqus theme. It's just a traditional area to have it. It may not be the most practical, but in some cases some people may want it there.

As for the other stuff thanks for the reply. That sounds awesome and I hope you guys implement those things :D.

Will Disqus have the ability to visually indicate unread comments on page reloads/revisits? It's a huge time-saver to have some way to quickly find unread comments, so as not to have to traverse the whole thread hierarchy to find them.

I'm never get the invitation for this new Disqus 2012. I've found some problems with Joomla Disqus (old, not this Disqus 2012). Disqus button won't work, Number appear but nothing happen.. I'll give you guys the printscreen if you want it. Hope you concentrate with Joomla Disqus..

Disqus 2012 will work, and actually already does work, with the WordPress plugin out-of-the-box. No changes are necessary. We'll likely make some Disqus 2012-related improvements to the plugin either way.

Regarding that login issue, can you let http://disqus.com/support know the details? We'd be happy to lend a hand with that.

I'm looking forward to an upgrade; it looks nice. However, the login on my browser seems broken. It appears as though I'm logged in, since my activity is being recorded on my profile. Hoping WordPress plugins get updated with Disqus 2012. It's been a while, and there are a few issues with version 3.x working with the Disqus plugin.

I haven't used the Joomla software with Disqus comments, but I'm pretty sure that you don't need to install a new version of the plugin. Just enable the Disqus 2012 after you receive your invite, and it should automatically publish the new version.

For the Custom Width, you can actually change that in your main stylesheet. This means that you might have to edit it via FTP or your blog's dashboard (depending on the software). It is extremely easy to do, as all you need is to define the #disqus_thread width like this.

#disqus_thread { width: 500px; }
or whatever width you want to have. You could alternatively use a margin as well.

The Disqus login information is the same across all websites. This new version only affects the websites that install it through features and layout. This will do nothing to your account.

Here's somethings I would personally like to see:

-Smilies: When you write :D or :P it would be nice to see something there.
-Custom width: My theme doesn't really like the width so adding a custom one like the old disqus would be nice.
-Adding the post box at the bottom as an option
-Adding images and embedding videos from youtube.

Anyway, the design looks nice. Again, this is just my personal list that I think will add to the commenting system. Thank you.

Side note: A bug is that when you edit your post, the post box does not resize until you start typing. This makes it a bit difficult and annoying to edit posts.

I agree with Danny - we need this to maintain the high quality of our comments and community. Trolls love unverified access and we spend a TON of time dealing with them lately.

I haven't seen any mention of this yet, but I cannot get the new Disqus comments to appear on Firefox under Fedora (GNU/Linux). I noticed this first on Phandroid, and only by using another browser did I even get access to the system to find out where to give feedback.

The problem is it just stalls on the initial loading screen, and doesn't load any comments.
