Interacting with the Outbrain ratings widget

Outbrain is a ratings widget that allows you to rate posts and receive recommendations. We have it installed on this blog.

    Your link to outbrain does not include the TLD (.com). It just happens to work because our browsers are smart enough. It should probably be fixed.

    Does it mean that you won't build your own rating system to rate posts and comments? Ideally, having both would be great.

    Why have you sold my e-mail adress?

    It´s a little bit strange that I got a mess of spam emails since I signed up for this service..

    We've never sold or given away anyone's email address, and we never will. The increase in spam is a coincidence.

    I personally felt that a rating widgets are great as some might not want to state their comments on that particular post and might want to give some opinions through ratings.

    I believe blogs that talks about food or gadgets will definitely find it useful.I have not tried Outbrain yet .However, I felt that they should include more designs to it ,so as to attract the younger generations.

    The concept of having a rating widget on blogs are great. I didn't use to think that rating is needed when we have the commenting system but it doesn't seems to be the case.After I have used the rating widgets, I have seen more people rating than commenting.Thanks for introducing Outbrain to us!

    They do not do hard selling of their widgets to user. I personal fave. There are some that have their logos are slogans added in fine text that destroys the whole widgets.
