I lost my comments when I changed the theme of my tumblr blog... help!

Hey folks,
I'm pretty new to the blogging world and have been quite satisfied with using disqus as a commenting system for my tumblr blog. However, I recently decided to get rid of my old theme, and apparently my existing comments went with it. Is there any way to get them back? They still appear on my disqus threads.

    I don't like my theme on tumblr. I have long titles to my entries,and my selected theme makes them nigh unreadable. I was looking at how to change the theme, and then I found this thread. I'd like to know how to safely change the theme and not lose my comments (even though so far I only have two.)
    Daniel, I figure help is at discus.com. Somewhere. More specific direction is needed. Thanks.

    You can choose a new template and redo the integration steps from the same account.

    If your blog has the same URL, everything should stay in place.
