I do have my facebook profile id number listed on my Disqus account. Just looks like they are not linked.
at first i thought it was a bug because i had just logged out as the disqus admin for those comment pages so i could respond more personally to our audience with my facebook login, and maybe something happened with the module refresh. but after trying to post again over a day later and after refreshing the blog page after logging out as a disqus user, logging out as a facebook user, and logging in again again with facebook connect, my comment still shows up as "Facebook User".
sadly enough, my previous comments that i had posted with my facebook connect login are now "Facebook User" as well, so it definitely looks account-based.

This thread has gone a bit quiet. Let me know please :)
@Giannii, it would be great if you could give us an update from the dev team to let us know when we could expect this issue to be resolved.
Thanks.

and the avatar is not shown, too.
The only thing I noted when I logged in was this: The popup came. I entered my facebook user and pass.... then in the same popup window I got the message "Disallowed characters". What does that mean? I entered my passcorrectly and although I got that message, I was still loggeed in..... (well, without the name showing and without the avaar as said before).
Anybpdy getting this "disallowed characers" mesage? facebook connect was working fine before.
"The URI you submitted has disallowed characters."
is that also the message the others are getting?
Any news ? Because I'd like to open my website to visitors, but I can't if this doesn't work....

My site url is www.juarezpolanco.com
I've just published a comment here http://www.juarezpolanco.com/leer_articulo.php?... and as you can see it won't display my avatar, but instead a noavatar image. I suppose I'm doing something wrong because before I hit the "Publish comment" button it did display my FB avatar.
I followed instructions at http://wiki.disqus.net/FacebookConnectHelp#FBUs... many weeks ago, I even reinstalled and got a new API key and no luck.
Any new idea?
My screen just before I post a comment:

Once it's published, with no avatar

I just commented here seconds ago using my FB Connect and it shows my FB name but still no luck with my FB avatar: http://www.juarezpolanco.com/leer_articulo.php?...
I too am having the same issue where my name and avatar fail to show up. I get a grey smiley face and the username of facebook-1298104538. I have performed the steps in the facebook fix but it has made no difference. I have also cleared my cache in the hopes that helps...it didnt.

On Sun, Jun 14, 2009 at 2:27 PM,
I am so new to all of this, but I follow a blog that is using your comment thingy (sorry for the lack of knowledge..lol) and for some reason I am having the same problem as everyone else here. When I am "logged in" under facebook, my avatar and name show up above the comment box, but then when I submit my comment, only my picture and facebook73800389 are displayed. Iw ould like for it to show my name, but I don't know to fix it. I tried to go into my settings and changed everything you said, but that didn't work.
Thanks!
Thanks in advance
It’s caused by a privacy setting in your Facebook settings. You may
wish to update your privacy settings to allow Disqus to pull the right
information.

I am having this problem with some of my users as well.
I have had them follow your privacy setting instructions, but that hasn't solved it.

Is a dead one, here's what I get.
"This page does not exist yet. You can create a new empty page, or use one of the page templates."
Now when I manually search for facebook on the Disqus wiki, I get the "fix" that you've posted above about privacy settings. This does not fix the issue. What else can we try, and will Disqus be addressing a fix soon?
As it stands now, facebook integration is unusable. It was in fact one of the reasons I switched my comment system over to disqus, I'm hoping you can guide as all towards a solution.
Regards,
facebook-XXXXXXX
Please fix this.
I am also having the same problem with the facebook connect. Whenever someone tries to comment, it displays the facebook user name and avatar prior to posting, but shows " facebook-(id number)" as the name after posting. You can see an example here: http://jtakahashi.tumblr.com/post/151414358#dis...
I am under the impression that the Disqus staff is as clueless as we are regarding the cause of the problem. Can we at least find out if this is a facebook account-related or disqus-side related issue?
Also, maybe it would be more useful if http://wiki.disqus.net/FacebookHelp was a valid website.
Thanks.
Public search listing is checked, etc.
Could you *please* act on this?
