Scott,

Yes, it works for all commenters, whether or not they are registered
with Disqus.

Also, it already is a requirement to leave an email address to leave a
comment.

Yes, but does it work for those commenters who don't register with Disqus?

For example, WordPress 2.5 will match the Gravatar as long as the person enters their e-mail that matches a Gravatar registration. I have a feeling that many of the commenters on my site won't register with Disqus... at least not initially. Will their Gravatar show up by merely putting in their e-mail address when leaving a comment?

Also, has the option to allow blog owners the ability to require an e-mail address for someone to leave a comment been implemented yet? I don't see the option, but I believe you said it was something you were working on.

I've uploaded a patched version of the 1.04 plugin here: http://media.disqus.com/disqus-wordpress-1.04+c... which will keep closed comments when using the option "Replace all entries with no comments".

That doesn't work if the post has no comments on it yet. They don't show up on the dashboard. I don't want to have to go through and find all my "comments closed" posts and put a comment on them just to be able to turn comments off through Disqus.
