I too notice a lag when posts are loading. Comments show up, but with improper formatting, then formatting is added, lastly the comment form and login information is displayed. The process takes about 2-3 seconds.

That's precisley my problem, Andy. My blog sits, half loaded, while it gathers the disqus comment data. Only when it's done this does the rest of my blog load.

I'm seeing considerable lag (so are my readers) at MarketingPilgrim.com. It's not my ISP nor my host (Rackspace) and appears to be due to a delay in the Disqus comment counts loading.

Thanks for the comments, both. I notice blackcaboftucson also reports some lag.

Giannii, I'm using standard BT broadband, which gives acceptable speeds throughout my other browsing. It's just disqus.com itself and my blog (my other blogs, which aren't using disqus, load much quicker)

I'm not talking major speed issues here, but it is noticeable.

I'm using a 1mb Cable connection and I find the disqus.com site to be a little slower than my other browsing.
