For all users who are having an issue with the RSS feed:

Have you updated any plugins lately? I've tested with the latest 2.8.4 release, and I am unable to reproduce the issue.

There is a known workaround at the moment. Checking the option "Comment count: Check this if you have a problem with comment counts not showing on permalinks" (see: http://wiki.disqus.net/Word..., should fix the issue with the RSS feed.

OK, today's comments just came through. I suppose I should get used to this system. However, I normally find out about a comment via email. This enable me to respond more quickly.

My comments from 5 hours ago are just now trickling into my e-mail...I would be patient...I've had good luck with Disqus so far...my blog was getting overloaded with thousands of comments and my SQL blew up...Disqus has made it possible for me to have comments again...give them time.

I don't have a feed problem (that I know of).

However, I am not getting email updates from my new comments.

Any ideas?

I've got the same problem.

Need a fix quickly, or Disqus is gone - too much hassle for too few benefits.

Also, is anyone else no longer getting emailed updates when a new comment appears on their blog?

The problem is the some javascript from disqus is making it into the RSS feed, and the SCRIPT tags break the feed. Removing the </script> may work, but it then means you've got an open SCRIPT block, which is not good either.

What would be better is if the SCRIPT block didn't make it into the rss at all.

Should say, it's been like this for a week before I finally figured out what was wrong. I really don't want to drop Disqus but am approaching the point where I'll have to make that choice.
