dsq-reaction bug started by JC John (ᜑᜓᜏᜈ᜔/謝施洗)
This is my first (I think) of getting the "reactions" feature working for my blogs (most of the time it doesn't work for me, or maybe I just don't understand how it is supposed to work - maybe some hidden "criteria" of your partner ;) ).
I noticed a minor bug with HTML ul / li lists generated as shown via FireBug using this URL http://laibcoms.asia/blog/labox/general5/new-fi...
This is the firebug output:
The closing UL element was inserted too early and so the other "reactions" are outside of its supposed parent UL element.

Getting notifications - but messages are not being saved started by rlieving
I am not sure what I am doing wrong - is it a bad setting?
I am getting notifications from friends that a message has been posted, but I can't approve the message and it isn't being persisted anywhere. Do you know why?

This has got to be one of the greatest cover songs of all time. This homemade video really captures the craziness of this song.

Wordpress 2.8, slug, and apostrophe problem started by Tyler Hayes
The gist:
- 4 weeks ago, my site was hacked. I had to completely rebuild it (backups were corrupt). I manually imported 70 blog posts from my Google Reader cache (thank god) to rebuild the posts.
- Disqus imported all the comments back. Hooray!
- Except (sorry!) WordPress 2.8 doesn't allow slugs to have apostrophes.
For example:
Old post slug: http://thetylerhayes.com/2008/11/21/what-are-al...
New post slug: http://thetylerhayes.com/2008/11/21/what-are-al...
So all the comments weren't recognized on any post that had an apostrophe.
One more thing that bothers me: I looked at the Moderate page for my blog. It still thinks that the posts have the old slugs. But what is disturbing is that they all say they have 0 comments now (shouldn't it think they have more, since it's using the old slugs?). Some of these posts had 40+ comments on them.

Duplicate tweets appearing under Reactions started by Andrew Maiman
I'm noticing duplicates under the 'Reactions' heading. A tweet is listed, and immediately below it is "One more retweet by username" which is the same person and the same tweet as the one above it.
See example here: http://www.maiman.net/2009/06/almost-ten-years-...
It's not just my blog, here's a Mashable page with the same issue: http://mashable.com/2009/07/01/twitter-increase...
Also, is it possible to exclude a Twitter username from the Reactions section? I'd like to avoid having it show my own tweet announcing my blog post.

Custom CSS Issues started by thedoppelganger
I'm trying to edit the custom CSS to match the theme of my tumblr and so that I can read what it says, but there are only a few codes that are working. I'm very familiar with it but not with what's being used here. I have an external stylesheet and have tried all of the codes I wanted to use.
I cannot seem to change "Add Comment', the comments themselves, well just look here. It's hard to read on the background and I don't want to change my tumblr theme.
What am I supposed to do? I'm getting very frustrated.
Please and thank you in advance for your help.

lots of broken DISQUS integration recently. started by gengstrand
In the past few days, every site that uses DISQUS that I have attempted to comment at now longer integrates correctly with DISQUS. I click the button graphic to log in to DISQUS and provide my credentials. The page refreshes and I am still a guest. I can clearly log into DISQUS. What is happening? Have you changed some integration details? I had been able to use DISQUS in the past on one of the sites that I attempted to comment at recently.
Squarespace + Disqus started by itsjustgoldie
I found the Disqus Wiki w/info for Squarespace (http://wiki.disqus.net/SquarespaceHelp). Woot! However, when I input the code into the footer section, I lose access to comment. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Does the code from the Wiki article need to be added in conjunction with the code genderated from the 'generic' option on Disqus (since Squarespace isn't once of the supported blog hosts)?
Changing Moderator Notification Email Address started by ndmeador
My moderator notification emails are being sent to a different email address than what is in my Disqus.com profile. I want to change the notification email address. I know that you direct people to this URL to make notification changes: http://disqus.com/account/notifications/
However, I don't see any options for changing the actual email. On my Account page, I see this message under my email address:
"Note: Are you looking to change the email for notifications? " I click that link and it takes me to the same notification options page.
Help please!

Recent Comments With Wrong Links started by Mark Guim
I added the recent comments tool to my sidebar but some comments link to the wrong page. Wrong date to be specific. Here's the sample:
Example: This comment: http://thenokiablog.com/2009/06/22/twitpic-twee... goes to page does not exist because it exists here:
http://thenokiablog.com/2009/06/21/twitpic-twee...
The difference is the date. Why is the wrong date showing up?

New comment email notifications get sent to some commentors?? started by SCHWINGSCHWING
Hi, I seem to come across this problem quite often. My comment settings are set as moderated and needs to be approved. And at the same time I receive email notifications on every new comment that needs to be moderated.
I have people who have previously commented in the same post tell me that they've been receiving email notifications of new comments for that post. Why is that so? Shouldn't I be the only one receiving these emails? I would really like to solve this. Help please!

Disqus Problems Migrating Back To WordPress started by AndyBeard
I am still missing lots of comments on my blog despite numerous support tickets
Comments are important - when I send a link to someone suggesting that a problem with a service really is an issue, and instead of lots of comments a post has 3, I lose my credibility.
There are tons of other issues, some I have already shared along with those support ticket.
Now I am looking to move back
1. Even though I am using the most recent WordPress plugin, I am missing a TON of comments in my WP database, even on my most recent posts where I haven't been using Nuconomy (which you blamed before)
e.g.
My most recent post shows 23 comments in Disqus
I have only 13 comments in my WordPress database
2. When I switch off the Disqus plugin, I discover that those comments that do remain, are not threaded - that is a nightmare to fix 100s of comments working out what they were in relation to and manually entering data in MySQL
3. If you switch off Disqus Plugin, then switch back on, you have to reactivate
4. To get Disqus to display correctly, I had to switch off comments under discussion options in WordPress. However if you do that, a database entry is made for future posts to be off on the case by case settings - I can go back through 10 posts, but something to bare in mind for others switching back after a long time using Disqus. Much better to use functions.php and a small piece off code.
5. The comment export isn't in a format suitable for WordPress. As far as I can see reading a few threads, it was abandoned because you probably thought your sync worked.
My "spidey sense" tells me that the disparity in comments between the 2 systems might be related to running Wordpress Spam Free.
My WordPress system (or the plugin) might have blocked a number of comments, but because you might be working in parallel, the comments appeared in Disqus regardless
The thing is, if a comment is blocked by WP Spam Free, there is a recovery method, but Disqus probably prevents this working.
Alternatively, they may have been the comments that Disqus flagged as spam, and I recovered them - there were a lot like that, thus I can't remember.
Ultimately I need a way to get those comments back in my WP database, and have all comments in my WP database threaded.

Inbound Twitter Avatars (Incons) not showing up next to user comments started by JeffUSF1blog

Thread names/blog posts not changing if updated on website started by KeMari
I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but I am having issues with my post name/thread name.
Basically, I made a blog post, then retitled it/changed permalink (before I ever got any comments on it). The blog was originally private (and had the other title). After I changed title/made it public, I got comments on it and the comments that are showing up on discuss are showing up under the Private: Old Blog Title name, rather than the new one.
Does this make any sense how I am explaining it?
And if so, how do I correct it on here so that it shows the comments as being on "New Blog Title Here"?
It's frustrating and I don't want to have to delete the whole blog just to update the thread title on here.

Custom CSS with Disqus started by BigAl109
Hi,
I'm trying to customize the colors of Disqus with CSS, using this method:
http://wiki.disqus.net/CustomCSS
I made an external CSS file called disqus-form.css and placed that in the theme folder I use for Wordpress. I then linked to it using the code at the top of the Wiki page.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working. The only tag I can seem to get working is the "textarea" tag. Everything else (which is Disqus specific) doesn't work.
Does anyone know what's up? I'd really appreciate your help.
Thanks.
P.S. I should point out that the Wiki page I linked to above isn't very clear. The overuse of the hr tag makes things quite confusing.

Forcing Links to Open in New Window started by Fusiongt

Is there a way to change permissions below my posts? started by rosiet

Comments link too far away & number is too far up started by jmco
http://designinfo.tumblr.com/
The "Comments" for an entry is appearing too far below the entry. It is physically closer to the previous entry which, besides bad typesetting, confuses those wishing to comment.
How can I get the "Comments" closer to the bottom of the post it should be associated with?
Also, the comments count number is appearing on the far upper right but I would rather it be on the same line as the "Comments" link.
Thanks!

Vertical Scroll Bar appears in Disqus with IE7 started by bnason
My blog is here:
www.mentalfission.com
If you view this in IE7 while not logged into Disqus, you'll see that vertical scroll bars show up in the iframe that Disqus created because the Disqus generated content is to large for the frame/div.
This doesn't happen in Firefox.
Any ideas for a fix?

Sorry if someone has asked about this before, but is there a way to import Disqus comments for my blog back into Blogger, or into Posterous? I've downloaded an XML file using the "Export" feature, but I don't know what to do with it now.
I don't want to quit using Disqus, just to back up my entire blog in case of trouble.
TIA for your help, and congratulations for making Disqus the best commenting platform.
