I've spent some time trying to modify my original template manually but that just throw up xml errors so I'm a bit stuck.

Lol-Thanks but it was that very guide that I followed very carefully but I can't add the result without getting xml errors.

Hmm.... I'm confused with your OP above, can you re-explain? ^_^
    Secondly, what's the XML error?

    Thanks!

    - So I can update the guide as necessary :D

Hello-when I apply the modified template blogger complains that b:if is not closed properly (though I can see the various closures throughout the template).I've done the manual integration several times so either I'm missing something or I have a particularly messy template.

My problem is that disqus commenting is only shown when an individual post is clicked on.When viewing the default view of blog posts (currently 3 posts to a page) then the commenting shown is Blogger's default & when commenting is clicked on shows Blogger's default commenting system. This means that as most people view the default 3x posts view they will not see the disqus commenting option.

OK I sorted the manual integration so it applies without errors but it solves nothing as disqus commenting still only shows on single blog post view. In multiple post view the commenting link is for Blogger's default commenting.

Have you disabled comments for new posts?
  • emsquared · 1 year ago
Yes I had that as my default setting but Blogger's default comment system still shows up unless a reader clicks on an individual blog post.

Can you post the bit of your template that deals with the comment link?

OK I've solved it.Just a bit of xml tidying up and it now seems to work. thanks for all yur help
